## My business

- Name: [The Finishing Touch]
- What I do: [general contracting, remodeling, finish work]
- Area: [Asheville, NC and western North Carolina]
- Phone: [(XXX) XXX-XXXX]
- The site should always show the business name, what I do, my area, and my phone number.

## Rules for working on my website

1. Never change the live site directly. Make changes on a test copy first. I look at the test copy and say "go live" before anything goes live.
2. Before you change any file, save a dated backup copy of it in a folder called `backups`.
3. When I ask for design versions, build them all on ONE preview page, numbered V1, V2, V3..., with buttons at the top to switch between them. Keep every word and photo the same in all versions. Only the look changes.
4. Change one kind of thing per batch: colors and fonts in one batch, page layout in another. Never both at once.
5. Always use my real words and real photos. Never use filler text.
6. Every design must look right on a phone, not just a computer. Show me both.
7. After anything goes live, check every link and every image on the site and tell me if any are broken.
8. Write plainly. Short sentences. No buzzwords. My customers are homeowners, not tech people.
